About the Author

I’ve been writing since I could hold a big fat crayon in my chubby paw. Then, college came along (aware I skipped a lot there) and my first dream job, working with disabled people, just wasn’t paying the bills. So, I got an M.Ed. and took to the classroom, got married, had two awesome kiddos, dogs, chickens, goats even, (they made their way into my novel;) and am now writing this debut novel, but not with a big, fat crayon. Somewhere in all of that, I was a legal guardian for my brother and best friend who had Down syndrome.

I live in a mountain town in Arizona where the snow falls, and hike in the deep woods with our Golden Retrievers as much as possible.
